Noticeboard at the lower gate

I am a fan of this part of the Nairobi city. Ask me why? its awesome for, One: Bike riding, Two: Camping Three: Relaxing Four: Studying tree species and Four: Picnicking. Several places I have visited doesn’t capture my essence of being closer to nature as this place. Lets try to understand it. Its name, the Nairobi Arboretum. Located near the city along the Naivasha Highway. Got two gates one from the lower side and the other, which is the main one can be accessed by heading along the Statehouse Road in through the University of Nairobi. Can you guess what makes this place so cool and just relaxing(hint: def of arboretum)? Trees! Trees do make this place awesomely cool and relaxing to visit and enjoy what you are doing.

Trees? hmm. Through my visit to the Nairobi Arboretum, one thing I decided to do was to photograph the trees and trails and the small river that is at the lower end. By the way, the lower end is bordered by residential houses which, to my relief don’t cause any effect to the place.

Another thing is that not all trees are the same here. The collection or species vary greatly. Some of them are unique, and these can be identified by the naming. Plates of metal with tree names  both the scientific and several local languages are used to describe and identify them. Check this out:

Online backup, better question somethings.

I at times got a shiver when an application, mostly online apps that connect your PC to a certain server over the internet, asking you to do a backup of your important stuff and say that it protects your important documents. This shiver results by the fact that, after watching several documentaries on hackers and online crazy felonies, trust me, you can think twice on deciding to do that automatic back up online. Picture this, there is you watching the video on how hackers cause uproar on computers and virtually any device that is connected online There is this internet or virus hunter expert explaining that the safest place to store your documents is on your device but it shouldn’t be connected online. If you are concerned with the two above, try to imagine if the worst happens. Nah, don’t try to explain that, just ignore it cause the damage can be, well, not quite nasty but nastier. The good thing is, our security experts in this field, by the way it all rotates around “the Cloud”, is uptight.Several companies dedicate their resources in securing the information, your backups and all that necessary stuff that in a wrong hand can ruin you.  Because it is concerned with someones privacy, the government chips in to help regulate 3rd  party intrusion concerning the usage of your data and information. Laws and bill are set up to regulate the companies dealing with online stuff mostly your data. Cloud storage  is new and this issue with backup relies wholly on the online servers that never experience downtime, simply being off the internet. It’s crazy how much technology can turn around, because yesterday I was considering to buy external hard-drive and now that am online i got around 50 GB to do a backup. All this for free. In addition to that, special treatment to all those who don’t want to mix there content..you can upload photos on a 10 GB capacity online server…. hmm sounds awesome. In the next post I will review several online backup systems I have used. Try to review where you backup your documents online on known sites like CNet and other Tech sites before choosing which to use. important, check the policies.

One thing I personally love about technology, is the ability to distinguish several modules of a tech device and learn more about it.
A good example is the operating system. Its widely used on many devices, phones, laptops, PCs notebooks and tablets e.t.c. Several features make it unique whether its Windows, Linux or OS for Apple. Here is my point, take for example a laptop. If you think about it in terms of modules or components working together you will find interesting features related to your daily life.
An example! Yes indeed.
Take an example of Multi Tasking: In daily to daily life we do several things almost at the same time, talking to a phone, writing a number being given on the phone, frying beacon while talking to your bro. All this involves doing several tasks at the same time. Comparing to the OS, it is programmed to do this, but to a certain extent, limited. Limited? How? I always run several apps at the same time on my notebook. Yes! thats right. But during multitasking in any OS, any active application usually got a higher priority in the processor.

“Keep Trying…”

Whats the difference between the two? What are the involvement of one to another of the above?

Most people cant define the line either is broad enough or just cant. In regards to                         that, somethings in life can be gruesome.

This happens to anyone who cares about his/her life.   Whether at work or any place you are. But the majority fall under the persons who establishes goals and landmarks in their lives. This small group of people always find a reason to scratch their heads whenever MOTIVATION or SELF DISCOVERY is lost. Without   a goal in mind and any milestone in life, we tend to live for what we have or get. The later is common among many.

Motivation, for a self goal setter is a priceless tool in everyday endeavour. Goals tend to stretch your focus in the future, keeping your mind working on ways to achieve or fulfill the mark(your goals).  The second thing, is the self fulfillment. With achieving your goal, there is a sense of greatness in it. This, self greatness, searched by many through misguided way of wanting fame is important in life.

Self discovery. From my view, partially it comes from the greatness after achieving something in life. It might be small milestone, but the feeling is the one that counts. W ether small or big, the feeling always last and the impact is, 100% positive. All this brings about self discovery, “Knowing the habitual you” from the goals and achievements you have gained.

It all takes a try to make it.
